Is your child ready for testing and school routines?

It’s hard to believe but the summer is almost over and it’s about time for students to head back to school. Are you wondering how you can make sure that this year is successful? We’ve put together a few steps to help make the summer-to-school year transition enjoyable for the whole family.

  • Prepare for assessments. Iowa Assessments (and other evaluations) begin in the fall and will be here before you know it. Our test preparation sessions are perfect for making sure your child is comfortable with and ready for standardized tests, as well as other test formats that they’ll encounter at school.
  • Find a routine that works for you. To prevent your morning from being too chaotic, put together a schedule and stick to it! Make sure the kids wake up with enough time to get ready, eat breakfast, and head out the door on time.
  • Establish a study nook where the kids can work on homework. Let them help make the area personal so that it’s a space where they will enjoy working. Also, make sure that there’s plenty of light and supplies available. I always like having several sharp pencils, pens, big erasers, paper, and a calculator.

To sign up for test preparation sessions, give us a call! We’re here to answer your questions and help your child feel confident and ready when the standardized tests begin.
