I am excited to announce Lilia Fuortes as our September Student of the Month for our North Liberty office!
Lilia has made such amazing progress through this teletherapy journey. Like a lot of kids, the switch to online learning was tough for Lilia with technology fails, distractions, and the learning curve with using Zoom features. Lilia began to SHINE over the past few months with teletherapy. She enjoys reading books with me, practicing her sight words, and working on her speech sounds. Lilia has worked very hard over the jump to teletherapy and now she is taking off with concepts that were tricky for her. We are so proud of Lilia!ย

Liliaโs speech has improved so much since she started working with Miss Mallory last year. Watching her pronounce and enunciate sounds and words in her first grade class as she learns to read makes me so grateful for what she has learned. Transitioning to online classes in March was a challenge in the beginning but Miss Mallory put a lot of work into finding ways to engage Lilia during her sessions and it has paid off. We are very happy with how much Lilia has learned this past year and are so thankful that she has had this opportunity.
