Actions speak louder than words!!! If you are having difficulties with disciplining your child or feel like you are correcting him over and over again, you have to read the book “New Kid by Friday” by Dr. Kevin Leman. Leman gives helpful hints on how to address any behavior that may come your way (there is even an index of ideas based on the behavior listed in alphabetical order). His entire philosophy is that actions speak louder than words. How many times do we tell our kids the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over (okay you get the picture) again? I have found this book to be very helpful in disciplining my daughters. Using these techniques helps them know they are still loved unconditionally but that certain behaviors will not be tolerated and I don’t have to tell them over and over again. Consistency is the key. If you ever get a chance to hear Dr. Leman speak, he is quite hilarious and entertaining. He occasionally presents on podcasts with Focus on the Family.
