Last Saturday, Shelley, Haley, and Kelsey attended the Iowa City School District’s Run for the Schools Expo at the Iowa City Community Center. Families attended the expo to pick up their race packets and information for the run. We had a table set up to introduce families to ETLC and to familiarize them with our services. We had a blast interacting with the children and parents! The kids were able to make their own squeeze balls to take home while the parents chatted with us about our programs. We saw some familiar faces and enjoyed meeting new people. 🙂 We will definitely be attending the expo again! Curious how to make your own squeeze ball? Use a funnel to fill up a balloon with rice, dry beans, or sand. Tie the balloon shut and that’s it! They’re so easy and the children had a lot of fun squeezing them and tossing them around.
